As usual with trying new authors and buying books from Amazon, you never really know what you are going to expect and whether or not you will enjoy it. That to me was my experience with The Stranger Inside. However, once I started reading it I knew I was in for a ride as the main character Jodi suddenly became Kenzie and I was like hmmm - do we have a case of split personality, is that was this book is about ? We then learn that Jodi's dad has died and she has gone to live with her mum and stepfather. We also discover that something went down three years ago with Jodi and her Stepbrother which weirdly enough , this is the second book in the last week or so that has featured this storyline. The story then starts to take two paths as we see Jodi in love with one guy Sawyer and Kenzie in love with another - Jeremy. This part reminded me a bit of the movie The Host when Wanda/Melanie liked a different guy each but shared the same body etc. What is happening with Jodi and who is Kenzie ? The Stranger Inside of Me was a good read that will have you guessing what is going on and how the dots are connected.Product details

I see love deep love. That was my favorite part. This book was unpredictable at times. Sometimes I would get so into the book I felt like I was in the story.

I very much recommend it.
It has such a good topic that made me just fall in love with it.
I like this book very much. At some points i did kind of feel like it was just dragging on. I do not personally like ghost stories or anything of the sort but this is a very goes read. It was also confusing at some points. You have to have patience with this book. So here is what you need to know, info on the book. A girl named Jodi`s father was either brutally murdered or did it committing suicide. Later you find it was suicide. He was also accused of murder. She finds herself living now with her mom in Washington, where her dad lived in New York. She wakes in the arms of a stranger after looking for a job. She has no idea how she got there. His name is Sawyer. He suggests she has split personality. Her other personality calls itself Kenzie. Jeremy is her stepbrother who she dated when she used to live with her mom. When they fell asleep in the same bed, her mom sent her away to her dad thinking they did something. Jeremy broke her heart by never writing back to her letters and things. Sawyer and Jodi start dating and through the story you piece things together. Her dad had an evil spirit in him that murdered and then killed her dad. Now Kenzie is a spirit too that is linked to Jodi dads spirit. And a demond is after Jodi. You basically should know that to follow the story. It is very good if you have the patience to follow it.
This was the best Melanie Marks book I ever read. The idea behind the book, and the mystery and the split personality. It all comes together to create this fantastic book. This book is definitely on the must haves list. I can't wait to read it again. I really hope their is a sequel!
I really enjoyed this story...the tension between Jeremy and Jodi was heart wrenching. The other characters gave you chills at certain times. I loved it!
This was a darker book than what this author usually writes. I liked it. It was a teen thriller/horror but heavy on the romance and relationships. I give it 5 stars and recommend it to YA readers who like a little horror with their romance (or romance with their teen horror). It had twists I didn't see coming and it kept me reading and wondering and hoping.
I honestly looooved this book! twists and turns all the way! With love, and trust, while hate and distrust are all in one! Amazing. I absolutely could not put this book down! Good read, and a fun, cute, story to come along with it. I highly recommend "The Stranger Inside" to those teens out there who like romance, especially those who enjoy some paranormal twist. 5 stars, I love Melanie Marks and her books! I highly recommend them all! (Not all are paranormal) you'll love this book!
